Anodized aluminum vs brass in small gearing applications?

Hi, I am in great need of some information about using anodized aluminum gears in small machinery vs using brass gears.

Which of the two would have the highest wear resistance? Which would tend to have the best durability over the long run?

Anodized aluminum is good for a lot of things, but I would stick with brass if I had a choice.
