Surface Pitting of Titanium - AMS 2488 Anodize
From time to time we have experience surface pitting in titanium parts being anodized per AMS 2488 using reverse current in a solution of caustic soda

. Tank parameters are always within limits and the pitting is generally random, that is, both high and low current densities, machined and un-machined areas. Any ideas?
