Gold plated spring finger against a stainless steel ESD ground plane

2006

I have a design application where we must add a thin ground plane below the PCB to discharge an ESD problem. I have a gold plated finger contact on the PCB that will contact the ground plane. I was considering using unplated 304 stainless for the ground plane and making direct contact to the gold plated spring finger. The product may be used indoors or outdoors and is IP53 rated.

Would this be a reliable connection over time or would corrosion or galvanic reaction take place?

Is there a better low cost solution for the ground plane material?
