Need a list of possible Titanium finishes
2006
I am hoping some Titanium experts can assist me with the following request:
I am doing some research on what can be done with Titanium to create different finishes. We will be needing to get a lot of metal work done from here on, including Titanium. To get prepared for different things we can do, I need to know what finishes are possible and what they will turn out like.
Could anyone who works with Titanium please send me data on what finishes they work with or have used? I am interested in the following: finishes, plating, etching, anodizing, coatings and anything else you can think of that is possible to do with Titanium.
I am trying to confirm some things such as "you can anodize type 1,
2, 3 & 4 on Titanium." Is there any datum stating this is impossible or only on ___ type of Titanium? Another example is "you can only do aluminum plating on Titanium." I don't know if that's true or not but would like a list of Do's and Don'ts for Titanium.
I really appreciate any help you can give with this.
Best,
Jaime Schlaich
