How's the Market?

I have recently been introduced to the possibility of plating as a business. I have a background in Sandblasting and Painting, and have also been looking into powdercoating. Is there a specific market that is more in demand than another?

Are you envisioning working for the public or getting OEM accounts? The public has bagloads of disposable income if you can position yourself right; the OEM accounts you seek will have gone to China before your shop is started up :-)

Plating has more environmental issues involved, and you'll need to get a number of permits.
