Rhodium plating accounting

When I do rhodium plating, how should I know how much metal I am putting on?

Antonio Panariello

2006

Faraday's Law of Electrolysis will tell you the relationship between ampere-seconds and the mass deposited, Antonio. There is a chart in the Metal Finishing Guidebook where, for simplicity, the various constants like density have been "worked through" so you can directly translate ampere-minutes to thickness with a minimum of arithmetic.

Another method is to simply weigh the item before and after plating.
