-----Bonding CFRP to HardCoat black anodize
We are attempting to bond Carbon fiber/epoxy composite to a 6061T-6 aluminum that has been Hard coated black. Prior to the hard coat we rough up the bond area with a sanding roll. We also rough the composite bond area with 120 grit sandpaper. Then just before bonding we wipe the aluminum with alcohol to clean it. My question is will this produce a reliable bond or should we bond to a bare treated aluminum surface instead?

We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
