-----Reactions with Black Phosphate Oxide coating
I am using new hose couplings in the hydraulic, coolant, fuel and transmission systems of the machines we produce here. The new couplings are coated with a black phosphate oxide. Will this coating react in any way with the fluids contained in the various systems?

Not to my knowledge, although if the coating was "oiled" the oil would presumably leach into organic fluids.
