Hexavalent chrome conversion coating




We use a hot rinse; 10 min at 55 - 65 grd C after Chrome Conversion Coating of aluminium. ("Bleaching", see ASTM B449 ). The salt fog and paint adhesion properties are the same as a CCC, and the peel + humidity resistance (Wedge test method for testing paint adhesion properties) is slightly better. Maybe this bleaching will also work on a zinc plating.
