New powder coater needs straight answers
I have a storm shutter business in Florida. Wish to do our own powder coating.Material size varies but approx. 48"x96" would be biggest..Volume approx. 20 pieces per day. What would this shop need in terms of equipment.Money is a factor but second to having good equipment and a great product.Building is approx. 3000 Sq. Ft. 3 phase electric. Equipment should be usable if we decide to expand.Using new aluminum only..can we get by with power washer and good industrial detergents. Waste water a big concern,No "hazardous" or solvents into public system.
Thank you for your help.

First you need to find out what type of salt spray requirement you want for your product this will determine what equipment you will need to reach the desired time frame. As for the number you will do you need to look at the future of your business will you exceed this number any time soon if so a small batch system with manual conveyor would work best. Since your product is an outside product you will need to determine the length of time you want the finish to last and if it will carry a warranty on the product finish. Hope this helps let me know if you need more information.
