-----Suitability of Kynar Painted Metal Roofing for Collection of Potable Rainwater
I am attempting to gather information on the use of Kynar 500 and its common use in the preparation of paints commonly used on galvanized steel roofing products. Of particular interest is the paints typically used for color-coating galvanized steel roofing and whether those paints that include Kynar commonly incorporate other substances or compounds that would constitute any degree of health hazard to the collected rainwater as drinking water. (I have other information indicating Kynar itself is FDA approved for repeated contact with food). This information need is time sensitive for me -- any and all assistance in the way of qualified information will be greatly appreciated.

We are wondering if you ever had your question answered considering that rainwater collection and metal roofing go hand-in-hand and it is logical to assume that the water collected would hopefully be potable?
Thanks for your time.
