Which anodizing process is right

2006

I need to anodize aluminum parts that will be primarily used outside. UV rays, saltwater exposure are the biggest concern. In the past I have used an Architectural grade 2 step anodizing, but due to lack of vendors in the area that offer this process I would like to know if this process is necessary. Can I use a "standard" anodizing and still get the same protection.

Keith Crawford

2006

Yes you can use type 2 or 3 a good hbl black dye has good light fastness as well as gold FAO [ferric ammonium oxalate] is equally as good.
