Help--white deposits on my chrome wheels

2006

PLEASE HELP

HAD SOME MOTORCYCLE WHEELS CHROMED, AFTER 3/4 DAYS IN THE GARAGE WHITE POWDER DEPOSITS APPEARED ON ONE WHEEL ONLY. IS THIS A CHROME PROBLEM? ALSO THE WHEEL IS SLIGHTLY TARNISHED IN THE CENTRE.

Tarnish in the center is bare nickel showing where the chrome did not completely cover. White spots, It's hard to be certain, but looks like porosity and white corrosion from the aluminum through the pores. Altogether, a crappy plating job. I'd suggest you take them back to the plater and ask that the job be done right.
