Polishing raised lettering

What is the best way to preserve the raised lettering of a part number on an aluminum casting while polishing to a mirror-like finish and at the same time removing pock marks?

Probably the best way to achieve the finish you want is to run your parts in a dry polishing organic mix using mass finishing equipment.Any method you do choose will have a problem with raised lettering, but dry organic processing will do a better job of blending and still obtain good light uniform results.

You and your customer should talk about the possibility and benefits of changing to depressed lettering.
