Need a copper crown gold plated
2006
I have a 100 year old crown made of copper. I need to get the gold crusty paint off of it and reapply a metal paint in gold. Would like to get it polished and repainted gold . How do I do this? It also has large jewels (fake) which I shall remove so I can paint the copper. It's too large for gold plating (I have inquired). I need a response soon like today if possible as I must have it ready for May crowning of Our Lady's statue.

Thanks much,
Gloria B. Knapp
It is not too large for gold plating. Whole roofs have been gold plated. The plating shop needs a tank large enough to accommodate the crown, or a brush plating setup. You won't be happy with paint. Keep looking for the right shop.

Hi ,
It seems this crown is still small; I have done crown they are about 9-1/2"D and 12"H done by brush plating and some I did with tank plating. I got from temple.
No need to remove stones from crown.
