Scratches and patches on cadmium plating

We are in the field of manufacturing connectors. We have a cadmium plating line. Can you clarify that Scratches and patches due to passivation are or aren't cause for rejection? Do you know any cadmium plating standard of which will answer this question.
According to me scratches are bound to come as cadmium is a soft material.

Hallo,
I saw your question. I am in the field past five years.as per my knowledge scratches only occur after passivation stage. because after passivation the component is so wet. We put the component directly into the drier scratches will occur. Patches is occur due to organic contamination or pH may be more or less within recommended range.
Please check pH and use different approach to dry the component.
wish you good Luck.
