Stripping of Plastic Painted Parts

2006

All,

We are an automotive plastic painted parts supplier. We need the strippers to strip the painted plastics like Polypropylene, ABS and PA6-GF.

Could you pl recommend any stripping processes/ chemicals for the same.

Muthumanigandan

2006

Dear Mr. Muthumanigandan,

Stripping of painted plastics can be done with good results by dipping in appropriately designed paint strippers.

However, apart from the type of plastics, it is also important to tell your chemical supplier what type of paints you are applying on the components.

hope this is of use to you,

Regards,

Sandeep Kundra
