Laser Engraving Polished Aluminum

I have a Universal Laser Systems V-460. When lasering on polished aluminum with Cermark marking paste, it looks great until I wash off the left over paste. When I rinse of the left over paste the great black marking goes with it. Can anyone give me a suggestion why this is happening? Thank You, Matt

Hi Matt,

what power is your laser engraver ? Could be it doesn't have enough wattage to sinter the Cermark to the aluminum.

slow down the speed and use max power

regards,

Peter Vasic

I'm having the same problem with the washing off of the etched lettering I was wondering if I should use more dpi.
