Chrome wheels are discoloring

Q. My chrome wheels are discoloring, only two of the four. Dealer is telling me all sorts of different things; please advise.

A. What's the placement of good vs. bad wheels, Wendy? I've noticed that many cars, even those with 4-wheel disk brakes, accumulate a huge amount of brake dust on the rear and almost none on the front. What do you mean by discoloration? Can you describe it or preferably < send pics for posting>please? Thanks!
