Chrome wheels are discoloring

Q. My chrome wheels are discoloring, only two of the four. Dealer is telling me all sorts of different things please advise.

A. What's the placement of good vs. bad wheels, Wendy? I've noticed that many cars, even those with 4-wheel disk brakes, accumulate a huge amount of brake dust on the rear and almost none on the front. What do you mean by discoloration? Can you describe it or photograph it for us please? Thanks!
