Preparation of stainless steel prior to plastering

I need to plaster over a stainless steel plate. Dimensions 50 mm x 1.3 m. I would be grateful for anybody's advice as to the correct preparation of the steel Thank you & Regards. Neil Franks

Hello Mr. Neil Franks,

The plaster will not stick directly to the steel (except by encapsulation). To deal with temp changes and high relative humidity, you will need to apply sheet rock (and maybe a moisture barrier) or metal lath to the steel for the plaster to mechanically adhere.

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
