-----Tell me about jewelry plating for my chemistry report
COULD YOU PLEASE PROVIDE ME WITH A LITTLE INFORMATION ON PLATING METHODS FOR MAKING GOLD AND SILVER JEWELRY?

Hello, Angelique. The very light hollow gold earrings and other hollow jewelry you may have seen is manufactured by carving a piece of wax into the shape of the jewelry, then metallizing the wax with conductive paint, then gold plating the wax, then melting the wax away. This is called electroformed gold jewelry. The word "electroformed" is used when the plating is not a coating on the object, but the plating becomes the object you are building.
There's a factoid for your report. Good luck with it.
