Ed. note: This RFQ is outdated, but technical replies are welcome, and readers are encouraged to post their own RFQs. But no public commercial suggestions please ( huh? why?).
Try to contact some suppliers, they should come up with a process.

Nickel can be plated on silicon wafers in several ways:
1. Aluminum can be vacuum coated onto the silicon first which is then zincated and plated.
2. Palladium can be used to catalyze the silicon and then the surface is plated.
3. An immersion coating of nickel can be induced with a fluoride solution and then the surface plated.
In the latter two cases it is necessary to use a high temperature bake to get good adhesion.

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
