Removal of Cl from Titanium surface

I am working with medical implants fabricated from commercially pure titanium. These implants have been etched in HCl. Surface analysis showed a high concentration of Cl on the Ti surface which was not there prior to treatment. Can anyone think of a simple way to remove the Cl and restore the oxide layer ? Thanks Adam

Rinse in cascade, counterflowed high quality DI water, warm preferred. The other option is lots and lots of flowing DI water of low quality. Just let them set in open air and they will form a very thin oxide in a day or two.
