Large scale vacuum metallization for artist?

Hello,

I am doing some consulting for an Artist who wishes to have a large wooden object variable dimensions around(6'x10'x8') finished with a smooth uniform chrome surface. I have looked into casting such a object and having it poured in chrome at prices of around 60,000$ which is too expensive. My question is, Is it possible to have a such a large wooden object vacuum metallized? and if not is there another finishing option which may give me a smooth chrome look?
