-----Passivation of electropolished orbitally welded pipings
Is passivation required for electropolished orbital welded piping joints? and what would be the chemical for the said process?

Yes, orbitally welded stainless steel tubing should be passivated. There are technical papers that show the weld zone is mostly iron at the surface of the weld and requires acid passivation. Typical passivation treatments can be performed with nitric, phosphoric or citric acid blends with excellent results.
