Rohs compliance




I am a salesman for a screw manufacturing co. in ILL. and have alot of customers asking about trivalent zinc. Can you help me with more info? And what are the components in it.

The passivation for Zinc may include a chemical that includes Hexavalent Chromium(CR VI). This substance is banned by the EU RoHS directive. A replacement chemical contains TriValent Chromium (CR III) which is RoHS compliant.
