Adhesion issues with hard chrome plating on Aluminum steel

Our suppliers are facing the adhesion issues of hard chrome plating, I am seeking a solution for that and seeking some expertises for adhesion tests. The current method we applied is thermal shock. Are there any alternatives or better way to verify the adhesion?
