Using steel fasteners on aluminum soffits

Will steel fasteners (screws) corrode when used with aluminum soffit? Is there a better way to fasten it?

Use aluminum pop rivets where possible (the tool and a small supply of rivets is probably $10 - $30), and aluminum screws where you need to. You'd be very unhappy with steel both due to rust and incompatibility with aluminum.
