Chromatising LM-24

Can anyone tell me the procedure to do Chromatising (Alchroming) on LM-24 casting to get a brighter (silverish) finish.

Chromates are yellow, but you can leach out the color (and much of the protective value) by an immersion in hot water after the chromating.
