BOP = Blowout Preventer

Q. I am looking in detail for the procedure for reconditioning/repair of Operating Pistons for BOP's (particularly Cameron make) with the Colmonoy process. I would like to know the application part, whether HVOF is used or is it spray & fuse or is it high temperature fusion.

A. You need HVOF process. Cameron policies are not released to public. However, Contact Sigma Engineering in Abu Dhabi as they have HVOF capabilities and are the agents for Cameron.
