Plating on plastic service required in Europe

1999

Ted, Tom
Great site very helpful! maybe yourselves or one of the browsers may be able to help me. I work for a small company that designs and manufacture moulds for the plastic industry and recently a client asked is it possible to chrome plate his plastic product. If so, how is it achieved and is there any company in Europe providing this service? Thanks for your help

regards

You must specify the plastic you are using. Not all types can be plated. ABS is the most "platable" plastic. If your plastic can be plated it is no problem to find platers in Ireland or UK, there are a lot of plating on plastic facilities there.

My company produces plastic parts for automotive industry such as emblems, radiator grilles... Then we are looking for suppliers who could be able to chromium plate these plastic parts in Portugal for our plant in Spain, but we don't find them. Would you be kind enough to give me some addresses of suppliers who could be able to do that.

Yours faithfully.
