Permanent black finish for mild steel

I want to get permanent black finish (dull finish) for mild steel pipes. How can I get that?

Dear Reji,
Addition to Mr Ted response I want to add you can go for hot or room temperature blackning or zinc plating with black passivation and then seal it .
