Pickling incoloy-800 (Stainless Steel)

2005

Does any one can recommend a process to pickle the incoloy 800 (iron-nickel-chromium alloy)?

Saludos.

If you want to descale it, a mixture of 35% nitric plus 6% hydrofluoric, balance water, will do. Then, depending on your following processing you may want to passivate it or activiate it more for plating.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
