New technology in fastener finishing

I would like to find out new technology in Finishing or coating for future fastener requirements.


Any source where I can find recent trends in finishing of coating indutry would be ideal for me to search for new things happening.

Dear Mr. Baskar,
Till reacently fastner industry in India was depending on Cyanide plating and later Acid chloride Zinc plating.
Now manufacturers are gradually finding out Alkaline non cyanide Zinc plating is giving better thow in the theadings.The latest is incorporating Alkaline Zinc Iron plating while monitering iron conc.to the required level to get the desired passivations.
While Yellow and black passivations are easy to obtain and with good top coats the SST life attainale is more than 1000 hrs for Red Rust, You can get a clear white couloured passivation,with a pale yellow green tinch with SST life more than 250hrs white rust and more than 500 hrs red Rust.
Montoring Iron conc according to your requirement is the crieteria.
