Internal plating of a cast iron engine water jacket

We would like to electro clean and electro plate the inside surfaces of a cast iron engine block.
Is this possible with an acid or alkaline electrolyte? using copper or nickel?

It could be plated with electroless nickel, but it might be a bit tricky.
