What are the real disadvantages of the mechanical galvanizing.

A disadvantage of mechanical galvanizing on steel hardware, compared to hot dip galvanizing, might be that the coatings are somewhat thinner and therefore less corrosion resistant. But that certainly does not mean that hot dip galvanizing is "better" than mechanical galvanizing. The disadvantages of mechanical galvanizing are somewhat similar to the disadvantages of lima beans: it always depends on what you want to use it for and what alternatives are within the realm of consideration.
