How does yellow zinc chromate compare to brass plating with regard to corrosion resistance?

Please describe your own situation instead of casting this as an abstract question, Mark, because it is impossible to answer yet begs us to take wild guesses at what kind of warnings we need to give you, like: zinc and yellow chromate probably will not be satisfactory outdoor exterior exposure, and brass plating is not in general a final finish but only a base for lacquer. Thanks.
