Silver solder and chroming compatibility

2005

I am preparing some mild steel parts for chroming. They have some small defects such as weld porosity in areas that are too thin to re-weld without distorting the area even more. If I fill these voids in with silver solder will they present a problem when I have the items chromed? Is there a better way?

Thank you,

Chad

Silver solder will work fine. You could save a little money by using brass, that's fine too. Soft solder would probably not be a good idea.
