Etching zinc from brass surface


Would like to know a chemical or other method to remove zinc from the surface of brass leaving the copper behind. Is it possible to do this without destroying the surface finish?

Respected Sir I am a student at IIT kanpur doing master of technology Since I would like to the etchant solution and its mode of preparation for etching zinc. So Sir I kindly request you sir to send me the solution for the above query. Expecting your reply. Thanking you Sir, Yours sincerely
