Aluminum finish and fatigue life
I am looking for some information on how much the condition of an aluminum substrate's polished surface, prior to being coated, would be a factor in fatigue life.

Hi, Kenny. I don't think it's possible to take a qualitative term like 'polished' and then get it's quantitative impact. But you can shot peen the surface and get an improvement in fatigue life.
