-----Removing chrome plate from brass sink legs
I have a set of brass sink legs that have been chrome plated. I would like to end with a polished nickel finish on these legs. What is the best best method for doing this? Is this a job a can do myself or do I need to get a professional? Thanks

John, your chrome legs will have nickel under the chrome. That is what makes the chrome so bright. If you want to just remove the chrome look you can either have a plating shop strip just the chrome or strip the entire part and replate with nickel. If you have just the chrome removed and the nickel is in good shape, a good polishing will brighten the nickel up. Best bet is to find someone in your area that does decorative plating and polishing.
