What method are you using to remove excess zinc from surface? What type of chemistry do you have in your zinc bath?

If this problem with edge buildup is generally on narrow width coils try taking the knives out and bringing the air pressure up . This seems to help in most cases . Also have a look at your gapping settings in your knives , there may be room for adjustment on your parameters . If none of these work try adjusting you baffles to run a bit off center by adjusting passline . Hope this helps your problem .
