I want to brass coat aluminum mural

I am planning a large wall mural. I would like to laser cut the lettering from 1/2" aluminum plate. The overall demensions are 2ft x 6ft. I want to coat the cutout with a brass or bronze finish. Advise appreciated.

It is possible to brass plate aluminum, although there aren't too many shops which do that. It is also possible to anodize and color dye which will look very close to brass. A third alternative is to coat with a clear lacquer which is tinted to look like brass.
