-----Repairing rust damage and refinishing metal file cabinet
I have an old metal filing cabinet whe drawers of which were sanded to the metal by its previour owner. There is some minor rust damage on its lowest drawer which was splashed during some recent rains. I would like to remove the rust and reclaim the finish which the other 3 drawers still have. I'm wondering if I should sand the rust off or if there is some chemical that would work better. Also, once the rust is removed what is the best clear coat to achieve a very low-sheen finish? Thanks!
