-----Cleaning brass door knob and hinge
2005
Please find attached two photos. One photo is of an old brass door knob and the other photo is a door hinge. I'd like to clean these up as best as I can to their original luster. Is this possible to do without damaging the pieces? Looking for store-bought products. Any ideas?

Thanks,

I doubt that either is solid brass, and a magnet will probably prove me right (steel is magnetic, brass isn't). So, unfortunately you probably can't restore them to their original lustre with store bought products, only by having them replated.
Replacement or paint would be more affordable options. Sorry.
