Hard Anodized Aluminum Exhausts

I would like to replace a Stainless Steel (316L) exhaust on a small gas turbine engine with a hard anodized aluminium part. The maximum temperature that it will see, will be about 675 °C. I know that aluminium melts at about 660 °C but I was wondering if the hard anodizing changes this spec somewhat. The outer wall of the exhaust casing is open to atmosphere and able to radiate and dissipate its heat. The exhaust is also part of the casing (spun in one piece) and this should act as a heat sink. What are your thoughts on this, please.

The surface layer of hard anodizing does not alter the melting point of aluminum. If you get it hot enough, it will melt, just as if it had no coating.

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
