Brass etching

2005

What is the standard time & mixture used when etching?

We currently use 1 FeCl :3 H2O @ 3-4 hours. is this a recommendable one? how could I reduce my time with same quality? what are the important point during etching?

Thanks a lots to those who can help & give me ideas..

HI,

I ASSUME THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO ETCH BRASS, THE STANDARD PRACTIVE FOR ETCHING IS 10 TO 15 PERCENT OF sulfurIC ACID SOLUTION AND THE DWELL TIME IS 10 SECONDS.

TRY THIS AND SEE THE RESULTS , BEST OF LUCK

Hi! Please help me... I'm new in brass etching, I would like to know what is the standard ratio or correct mixture of chemicals (Photosynthesizer) in brass etching? that may result to shorter and quick time in etching and has a good quality too.

Your quick answer is very much needed. Thank you so much.

Best regards,
Gail
