Revealing grain boundaries in aluminum alloy 6082T6

Dear Madam, Sir:Thusfar, I haven't found a way to reveal the grainboundaries in my aluminum alloy 6082T6 micro-samples. I was told to use a keller's etch solution. However, nobody I know seems to know how to reveal the grainboundaries (celboundaries).I'm hoping someone could help me with this problem, or direct me to someone else. I would really appreciate this.Thank you very much for your time.Sincerely,

Your T6 condition might not exhibit good boundaries anyway -but even so I normally use Kellers (HF/HCl/HNO3/Water). You could try Barkers (5gHBF4/200mlWater)- I've not used it, this is a textbook reference. Also try leaving out the HNO3 and HCl in turn from Kellers (likely to be slower, so also try using hot water. Best of Luck. Sorry to hear it didn't work out with the Pogues.
