A. Welcome, Walter. Your posting is brief and doesn't explain quite what you are trying to do. But as a beginner, possibly your question is because you don't realize that that isn't the way electroplating of gold and silver is typically done. Whether you are a very small hobbyist or operating a large factory, you buy gold plating solutions & silver plating solutions which are already mixed to contain the correct proportions of material for the type of deposit you wish to electroplate: hard/soft, for jewelry/electronics, for striking/plating, etc.

Please get a copy of the Metal Finishing Guidebook for a good feel for what electroplating is about. The guidebook issue is included with a subscription to metal finishing magazine or you can get an old copy.

If I have misunderstood and you are trying to break into the business of supplying plating solutions rather than doing electroplating yourself, it is not impossible of course, but it takes trained chemists, months or years of development work, and more knowledge than a single forum response can offer, but please search the site with phrases like "make gold plating solution".

Good luck!
