Glue for stainless steel

I would also like to know what type of glue I should use to fix stainless steel to a steel exterior door.

I am quite fond of two part epoxy, for most metals I use JB Weld on eBay or Amazon [affil link] , which does and has for a very long time, stood up to the test of time. The only complaint you may have for it is that it will not match the color of the stainless steel.

If you are looking for a patch due to a dent, mar or scratch I suggest using Bondo on eBay or Amazon [affil link] or some other automotive body filler, just follow the directions and repaint afterward.

Remember to thoroughly clean both surfaces before applying any adhesive, sometimes roughing up the surfaces assists as well.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
